Obama Tax "CUT"??
The magic of IGNORANT POPULIST news media perpetuates the lie. As the wealth is redistributed to the poor with inflation stoking budgetary spending - the gain the poor receive will be stolen back 10 times by inflation. Look for 6 pct in 2010 and 10 pct in 2011 and up from there.
The Cap and Trade TAX that the poor "think" is a hit against the mean old energy companies is going to come back to them in double and triple energy bills (gas, fuel oil, coal, electricity, shipping costs) that will also add to inflation. The biggest losers in the Obama Tax Cut plan will be the poor who will suck up the added energy costs by lost jobs ad higher electric, heating and gasoline costs DUE TO CAP AND TRADE TAXES.
Add to the lost jobs the private sector (government revenue) jobs that will disappear as the investor "class" shelters its funds away from business expansion. The poor will not know what hit them. In four years the press and Obama (the second largest recipient of AIG political donations as a senator) will STILL be blaming Bush.

2. Nixon is taken down with Watergate and we get Carter
3. Carter welcomes radical Islam to the Middle East and starts mortgage programs for people who cannot pay them back.
4. Ross Perot give away the country to the Clintons TWO TIMES.
5. We learn Bush 43 cannot talk and will not defend his policies in order to maintain a "presidential" aura.
6. Obama is welcomed to Washington by the BOSWASH, Chicago, San Francisco liberal cabal.

THIS WHOLE RUSH LIMBAUGH THING By Neal Boortz
What did Limbaugh say? Basically this: "If Barack Obama's goal is to transform our economy into a socialist economy, I want him to fail." Now what in the world is wrong with that statement?
I'm with Limbaugh on that one. I want him to fail as well. Furthermore, if Obama's goal is to create an egalitarian society where everybody has an equal amount of stuff .. .I want him to fail. If his goal is to create a nationalized health care system under which health care will have to be rationed, I want him to fail. If his goal is to completely remove 70% of Americans from any responsibility for paying any federal taxes at all, I want him to fail.
Here ... try this. "If Adolf Hitler's goal is to kill 6 million Jews, I want him to fail." Would the Democrats have damned someone who made that statement when Hitler came into power? Know what? They probably would have.
The "I want him to fail" comment was only part of Limbaugh's statement. You absolutely cannot criticize him for that statement until the "at what" part is addressed.

Of course, there are great free-market economists in our midst today -- notable among them are Thomas Sowell and Walter E. Williams.
Of Obama's plans, Sowell writes:
"Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.
... It is amazing that people who think we cannot afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, and medication somehow think that we can afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, medication and a government bureaucracy to administer it.
... The first lesson of economics is scarcity: there is never enough of anything to fully satisfy all of those who want it. The first lesson of politics is to disregard the first lesson of economics.
... The welfare state is not really about the welfare of the masses. It is about the egos of the elites."
"Extreme taxation, excessive controls, oppressive government competition with business,
frustrated minorities and forgotten Americans are not the products of free enterprise.
They are the residue of centralized bureaucracy, of government by a self-anointed elite."

· "Card Check" Not as Bad as Thought! It's Worse.
In the "card check" bill, if a newly unionized employer can't reach an agreement with the new union, an arbitrator will step in and impose a two-year contract.
I thought Jennifer Rubin must be wrong when she said that this arbitrator would be a government employee:
That's what we are talking about here: a government official sent into a private workplace to order, in the absence of a voluntary agreement between labor and management, the employer to abide by a government-dictated contract. If this seems like an appalling intrusion into the operation of private businesses, it is.
This is far more extreme than the National Industrial Recovery Act of the New Deal, which at least allowed industries to devise their own "codes." In the case of the EFCA, the government would be in the position to directly set wages, benefits, and work rules for any business with a union agreement.
That seems like a parody of liberal Washington meddling. It's one thing for employer and union to have to abide by the decision of a mutually selected third party. It's another to have a strange bureaucrat from D.C. come and tell everyone how to run things--not just setting a minimum wage but setting wages and job categories up and down the hierarchy.

3 DEAD BODIES
Three dead bodies turn up at the mortuary, all with very big smiles on their faces. The coroner calls the police to tell them what has happened.
The Coroner tells the Inspector: "First body is a 72 year old Frenchman.. He died of heart failure while with his mistress. Hence the enormous smile."
"The second body is an Irishman, 25 years of age. He won a thousand dollars on the lottery and spent it all on whisky.. Died of alcohol poisoning, hence the smile."
The Inspector asked, "What of the third body?" "Ah," says the coroner, "This is the most unusual one. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, 66, struck by lightning. "
"Why is she smiling then?" inquires the Inspector.
"Thought she was having her picture taken."

HERE'S A PLACE I WILL NEVER GO FOR HEALTHCARE By Neal Boortz
Barack Obama gave us a little taste of what government healthcare is going to look like. What are we talking about here? Community health centers. Right away, let's get something straight. These aren't community health centers .. they are government health centers. They will be run on government property by government employees, controlled by government policy, and paid for by the taxpayers.
This is what Barack Obama considers economic stimulus. Seriously, folks! This was all a part of this economic stimulus bill -- $155 million will be used (out of the $787 billion) to create 126 government health centers. How much do you wanna bet that it won't cost just $155 million .. that is just the down payment. Once you get these 126 government health centers you'll have to fund their operation year to year ... and every single government health center created under this plan will ask for additional funds every time the budgeting process comes around.
This is not about improving your health. This is all about controlling your life. Do you not realize that whoever controls your health care controls you?
Florida woman called 911 three times over MCDONALD'S chicken shortage...
No Matter What My Husband Does, He Can't Win… Until Now
I just got through listening to a caller on your show and it really hit me...am I ever satisfied? A woman called up about her husband not being connected to the family. Later you got him on with her and the truth came out! I really identified with this woman and not in a good way. I could see that no matter what my husband does he can't win. I realized that his disconnection has more to do with me than him. This is good news because I have control over what I do.
I was in tears after listening to the call and I called my hard working husband right on the spot and told him how much I appreciated and loved him! I could hear him light up on the phone. He called me "honey" and it felt so good! Even though I had a bad childhood, (my father died when I was 2 1/2 and my mother re-married and let's just say it wasn't pleasant)... I was smart enough to pick a good man. I was wondering why my husband and my daughter seemed to have such a good relationship and I always was on the outside looking in. I now see it's because I married a great guy!!! I was so busy trying to be in control because my mom was weak and I didn't want to end up like her...The point is I wouldn't because I unlike her picked a good man. Now all I need to be is a great wife!!
Thanks for all you do. I just love your show.
Love,
J.

Obama: Stock Market 'Ups and Downs' Unimportant
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama compared the stock market Tuesday to the daily tracking polls used during campaigns, saying that paying too close attention to how Wall Street "bobs up and down" could lead to bad long-term policy.
He said the developments he follows most closely are whether lending is flowing more freely, businesses are investing and the unemployed are going back to work.
The president said he is "absolutely confident" that those things will happen. But Obama also said that it will take time for the mistakes of the past to work their way through the system and that the spectacular losses happening now are a "natural reaction" to those mistakes.
"What if the economy is still in bad shape a year or two from now? Will we get apologies from Obama and the stimulus advocates in Congress?
Not a chance. Their excuse is already prepared: The stimulus was too small.
On the day Obama signed the bill, his aides put out the word that another may be needed. The blame will not be put on the folly of stimulus, only on the meagerness of the spending.
Heads -- big government wins. Tails -- free people lose. I don't want to play that game. ...."

EVEN MORE TAX BURDENS By Neal Boortz
And on top of all of that nonsense about a tax system based on "fairness" .. we have an administration that is knowingly going to increase the price of energy in this country, and tax the businesses and the wealthy in order to make sure that it is "affordable" for everyone. In other words .. energy is going to become a "right."
Here's the routine. Obama brings us massive new taxes on virtually all forms of energy. You will then have to pay more for heating your homes, keeping your lights on, paying for gas. Then the Obama financial wizards will come up with a whole new welfare system to pay people, out of taxpayer funds, who cannot afford the new energy prices ... the poor, poor, pitiful poor and middle class. These new welfare checks will, as is Obama's habit, be called "tax cuts" or "tax breaks." And who will be the people who will get these wonderful new tax cuts under Obama? That would be the people who pay little to no taxes to begin with. These tax breaks aren't tax breaks .. they are welfare checks in order to subsidize the increased cost of energy for the Democrat voting base - the poor.
The Democrat "strategists" will go on CNN and Fox News and tell everyone how Obama is giving tax breaks to the majority of Americans .. and we'll buy it hook, line and sinker.

Bashing Gore = killing 1,000 people
Glenn dives into the geeky world of the blogoshpere and finds an absolutely astonishing conversation between a scientist, and a climate research scientist at a Texas university. The pro-global warming scientist actually says that to criticize Al gore is the moral equivalent to killing 1,000 people. The global warming crowds are starting to lose their grip on the national mindset and people are caring less about climate change, and it's starting to show in their outrageous comments - ones just like these. March to Socialism - Never let a crisis go to waste
90% of economists think that the recession will be over by the end of the year. Exactly 0% of these same economists say the recession will last longer than the end of next year. So if you believe the polls, it's a good time to be a Democrat because Obama will get the credit no matter what. But the question is, if the economy (and Glenn doesn't buy this) is going to recover no matter what, why then the need for all of these massive bills?

The Medical Profession Speaks out on the Financial Bail-Out Package
The Medical Profession Speaks out on the Financial Bail-Out Package:
The allergists voted to scratch it, and the dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the neurologists thought the administration had a lot of nerve, and the obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception. The ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted; the pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the pediatricians said, 'Oh, Grow up!'
The psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, the radiologists could see right through it, and the surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing. The internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the plastic surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter." The podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the urologist felt the scheme wouldn't hold water. The anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas; and the cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.
In the end, the proctologists left the decision up to the asses in Washington .

When a President Dismisses Wall Street
Well, who am I to start offering advice, Mr. President, but start looking at those gyrations, because they're bad gyrations, and they're more than day-to-day gyrations.
They're week-to-week, month-to-month, over many months. To be fair, Mr. President, they include you and a guy preceding you — preceding your big government solutions to your predecessor's big government solutions.
Apparently, Mr. President, the markets don't think much of big government solutions — rescues that don't rescue and bailouts that themselves need bailing out. Time and again, the same story.
You can ignore these gyrations all you want, Mr. President, but don't assume we are, because they're not just gyrations and they're not just some fat cat's money. They're our money: our pensions, our 401(k)s, our mutual funds — the stuff of which seven out of 10 of us stake our financial future.
So this isn't about Wall Street having a fit, Mr. President. This is about Main Street in fits because it is wondering why it is, our financial leaders have no faith in our political leaders and why our political leaders don't seem to care.
You may hope you can succeed despite Wall Street, forgetting, Mr. President, that you're only spiting Main Street , because history proves when you don't have their confidence you've all but lost ours.
Neil Cavuto
"We can let circumstances rule us,
or we can take charge and rule our lives from within."

Of course, there are great free-market economists in our midst today -- notable among them are Thomas Sowell and Walter E. Williams.
Characteristically, Walter Williams cuts to the core:
"Two-thirds of the federal budget consists of taking property from one American and giving it to another. Were a private person to do the same thing, we'd call it theft. When government does it, we euphemistically call it income redistribution, but that's exactly what thieves do -- redistribute income. Income redistribution not only betrays the founders' vision, it's a sin in the eyes of God.
... No human should be coerced by the state to bear the medical expense, or any other expense, for his fellow man. In other words, the forcible use of one person to serve the purposes of another is morally offensive.
... One of the wonderful things about free markets is that the path to greater wealth comes not from looting, plundering and enslaving one's fellow man, as it has throughout most of human history, but by serving and pleasing him."

"You never want a serious crisis to go to waste," said chief of staff Rahm Emanuel. "This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before."
And as Reuters reports from Brussels , Emanuel isn't the only one saying it:
[Secretary of State Hillary] Clinton told young Europeans at the European Parliament that global economic turmoil provided a fresh opening. "Never waste a good crisis . . . Don't waste it when it can have a very positive impact on climate change and energy security," she said.
Blogress Ann Althouse, an Obama supporter, remarks: "What if George Bush or Dick Cheney had said something like that openly? It's the kind of line that people used to imagine Bush people saying in secret."
Obama is brazenly doing what the left accused Bush of: cynically using the first major crisis of his presidency as an excuse to pursue his own ideological agenda.
The Binghamton (N.Y.) Press & Sun-Bulletin reports on how the federal government is spending your tax dollars:
The Town of Union is getting $578,661 in federal Recovery Act funding for a homeless problem that may not exist within its borders. The money is coming from the federal Housing and Urban Development.
Union did not request the money and does not currently have homeless programs in place in the town to administer such funds, said town Supervisor John Bernardo.
"We were surprised," Bernardo said. "We've never been a recipient before."
Bernardo said he isn't aware of any homeless issue in the largely suburban town.
We suppose that on the bright side, if Union doesn't have a homeless problem now, we're sure it can use half a million bucks creating one.
