A fun song with a good point. For sure all ballots in America should be in English - period.

The Fred Thompson Report
The Fred Thompson Report You can hear Fred Thompson's podcasts at this link. He is a great speaker. He thinks a lot like I do. Can he be President of the United States? It could happen, but I think the energy level and organization of other candidates will leave him too far behind.

U.S. Net access not all that speedy - Yahoo! News
U.S. Net access not all that speedy - Yahoo! News I have been saying this all along. Big problem for USA - but bigger for rural outposts like our county (Sussex) in New Jersey. Without the big "pipes" infrastructure must be built to enhance automobile traffic to centers of high bandwidth - thus destroying more rural landscape and sucking up more energy. Employment would flow INTO rural areas when broadband is adequate to support the new way of doing business. IMPORTANT TO READ.

Cooking With Angel - Food For Seniors - Episode 1
Angel volunteers her time to cook for some seniors near her home. She is a classic "Southern" cook with the good sense to use modern dietary considerations in her preparation. In keeping with our theme to provide stock suggestions based on our every-day topics, we offer these TWO stock suggestions. TSN (Tyson Foods)... think about it.. CHICKEN. Chicken requires a lot of corn and soybeans and grain is currently moving up in price due to competition for ethanol production - but Chicken as a MEAT remains far more competetive than Beef. (Tyson Foods also has interests in Beef, but the primary product is poultry). The other stocks that jump out from this episode with ANGEL's Cooking are companies that deal with elder care in the home. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have volunteers like Angel around. Check ouit THESE Stocks! PSSI (down a bit just now a great buy point) and HSIC.

A Battleship Veteran
Bob Haarde of New Jersey was a Battleship veteran in WWII. He actually went through boot camp aboard the Battleship Texas while in convoy with the Murmansk Run. The USS Texas is now a museum in Texas. He then became a gun captain for one of the 9 16 inch guns on the USS Alabama which is now a museum ship in Mobile, Alabama. He tells of the sad story of Tarawa in which the shore bombardment was timed wrong for the landing, thus placing the Marines in a position with no effective cover from the battleship guns. The carnage was horrific. He explains the next invasion of Quadjaline used the lessons of Tarawa. This is a short example of volunteer veteran interviews at senior centers in Sussex County. ME3TV.org is the sponsor.

Weird News: Randy Cassingham's This is True #1
This is True! A free newsletter on the web with unusual stories every week. Here they have branched into a video version. As a matter of fact, Uncle Vic's In Country will soon launch a weekly video blog and perhaps audio podcast called "How Come People are So Stupid?". It won't be this type of thing, but more basic decisions by people and governments that really are stupid.
