You do have to wonder how they got it some screwed up. The key problem at heart remains that certain members of congress, mostly of a certain party, set policy and directed Fannie and Freddie and banks of all kinds to approve loans that could never be paid back. From that one wrong-headed policy with the good intention of providing "ALL AMERICANS" with "home ownership" the trap was set that would eventually ruin home ownership for those they intended to help and millions more who were caught in the falling valuations. Therein lies the root cause for the international financial crisis. And you know what is funny? The primary people who pushed the policies that did this are NOW in power (at least the congress will change out in January). The perpetrators remain in charge of the SENATE and the Presidency. Now that is just so funny you have to nearly bust a gut thinking about it.

The Pink Ribbon Rant

The rant below comes from an oncology nurse so she sees this every day. I think I can see her point in that it is very common for "non profits" to become profitable tools of the "industries" they represent. It is of course common for the management of many "non-profits" to be paid exorbitant fees.  Enough of me. I know this nurse. Read her rant:
"can't help myself, everytime I see pink I turn red thinking about the enormity of the deception perpetrated by the cancer industry...countless funding drives, donation events, people running swimming walking across cities, countries, continents...and for what...we already have the cures for every cancer imaginable ... problem is the cancer industry has become so huge they have succeeded in pressuring governments to make the cures unattainable through various underhanded ways...and with the enormous influence they have over the medical industry, they don't even allow a doctor to discuss any alternative cures except for there own radiation, surgery chemotherapy method...you see it is the method which pays them the highest amount through insurance companies (est. range from $400,000 to $800,000 per patient) and it guarantees them a return patient for life...sorry for the rant...I'll stop now because the red is turning purple...happens when you loose loved one to these corrupt bastards...of course you can be my friend... and the pink was the ribbon in the background of your profile pic..."

This is a much more accurate presentation of the poverty issue in America than any Democrat will ever own up to. Yes there are truly poor in America but nowhere near the government figure because of the huge subsidization of poverty. In one of the latest TARP redistribution schemes to put money in consumer hands (not in the tax payer hands) the influx of cash rapidly went to nail salons, expensive tennis shoes, and plasma tvs, jacking the consumer index up very high for a couple of months. The people who received the redistributed income did not invest in new jobs or spend on items that would create new jobs in America, and the money simply evaporated after the temporary spending spike. The money did not go for food or shelter or to help the truly poor.

In 2001 and 2003, Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families. These will all expire on January 1, 2011.

* Personal income tax rates will rise. The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent. All the rates in between will also rise:

-          - The 25% bracket rises to 28%
- The 28% bracket rises to 31%
- The 33% bracket rises to 36%
- The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%


* Higher taxes on marriage and family: The "marriage penalty" (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return. The child tax credit will be cut in half. Other tax burdens for families will also kick in.  

* The return of the death tax: The families of those dying on or after January 1, 2011 will face a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million.
 
* Higher tax rates on savers and investors: The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011

Obama Stole Election

It is a bit funny that the Democrats who supported Hillary are now up in arms about the stolen election. Actually, I think Hillary had the rug pulled out from her in the South Carolina primary when John Edwards took away her steam roller momentum. Obama was the benefactor of that. It is funny to me since only weeks later the whole Edwards scandal took HIM down, leaving Hillary devastated and Obama in complete control of the Democrat Primary.  Now that Obama has managed to bumble and stumble and crumble with zero leadership into an agenda propped up by his empty suit and the destruction of America. - Even Republicans are wishing Hillary had taken the reins and won. Americans like to be LED ! Obama cannot lead although he pontificates well.  Hillary - at least- would be LEADING us to destruction vs our stumbling to it.

"Where is the birth certificate?"

Nobody said he is not a citizen. Surely he is. There is some question about dual citizenship with US and Indonesia. There is also some question why 95 percent of all his personal records are locked from public view - which just simply begs the question as to why his "live birth" recognition from Hawaii is at odds with birth records in Kenya. This is NOT about US citizenship. It is about the constitutional requirement that the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES must be a NATURAL BORN citizen.
