Code Pink and Murtha

An interesting coalition of Rep. Murtha and Code Pink. Murtha is a decorated veteran of over 30 years in the US Military. He obviously has a heart and cares about the dead and wounded of the Iraq war. Unfortunately, his caring and his political stance on the war have become tools for enemies who wish to harm more American troops and Iraqi citizens. Because a military veteran takes a particular stance does not grant him visionary status as a battlefield commander. Note America's Civil War. It took years of sifting through dozens of Generals before Lincoln found a General who could win (Grant). Winning a war and politicizing a position are two different things. I think Murtha means well, but as a military strategist, he would never (imho) be picked for winning a war - and his actions contribute to a losing mentality. Notes and links below were in my email:
Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) met with leaders of the anti-American group Code Pink last week at the anti-Operation Iraqi Freedom meeting in Arlington, Virginia hosted by Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) For more information about the dastardly acts of Code Pink at Walter Reed Hospital, see this link:
